Characteristics of Hydro-Geochemistry and Groundwater Pollution in Songnen Plain in Northeastern China

Agricultural production may cause groundwater pollution. This study investigated the characteristics of shallow pollution in a typical black land agricultural area Northeastern China and geochemical behavior major pollutants. A total 27 23 samples were collected for measuring on-site parameters components 2000 2014, respectively. The improved integrated approach was used to assess contamination. results showed that slightly polluted by activities. average concentrations ions found be following order: Ca2+ > Na+ Mg2+ K+ cations HCO3? SO42? Cl? NO3? anions. Percentages 7.4% 34.8% sample respectively, indicated quality has gradually worsened past few decades. concentration factor influenced observed changes. Scientific effective fertilization rice cultivation is an way avoid pollution, evaluation methods can further improve standard resource management effectively.
